Alongside double bassist Alex Keen and drummer Vince Clarke, and featuring appearances from Tony Coe (clarinet, soprano saxophone) and Aidan Shepherd (accordion), Knight leads this selection of tracks with a deft and inspiring hand. There are her own compositions – including the graceful but playful title track and the summer wistfulness of June Babies, creations from both Coe (the elegiac Dear Afficionado and elegant BAMP) and Shepherd (the European flair of Autumn Clean) as well as new interpretations of pop classics such as the Beach Boys’ God Only Knows and Mike Shapiro’s Spooky.
