Biography of Ingrid Laubrock
German-born Ingrid has been an active and important ingredient of London's jazz scene over the last few years.
She has studied with Stan Sulzman, Jean Toussaint and in the States with David Liebman and performed and recorded with numerous artists, including Evan Parker, Django Bates, Kenny Wheeler, Polar Bear, Tom Arthurs' Centripede to name but a few.
She has won the BBC Jazz Award for Innovation (as part of the F-ire Collective) in 2004, was nominated as 'Rising Star' in 2005 and won the Arts Foundation's Felloship in Jazz Composition in 2006.
