Alma Cogan was an English singer of traditional pop muic of the 1950's and early 1960's. Dubbed "The Girl With the Laugh In Her Voice", she was the highest paid British female entertainer of her era. Throughout the mid 1950's, whe was the most consistently successful singer in the UK.
