Biography of Janet Penfold
➢ Released on her own label, Molly Music, the album covers well-known material from the 1930s to the 60s, including Berlin, Waller, Rogers & Hart & Bacharach - plus a slinky version of the more recent "Everybody Wants To Be a Cat" from the Disney "Aristocats" movie.
➢ Janet, whose main influences include Julie London, Peggy Lee, Doris Day and Stacey Kent, can regularly be heard at the Pizza Express, Spice of Life, Soho Pizzeria, Octave Bar, and many other venues in London and on the South Coast.
➢ She has performed with a number of well-known UK musicians, including : Geoff Castle, Pete Churchill, Phil Mead, Barry Green, James Pearson, the Len Philips Big Band and Jamie Cullum, no less !
