In 2003, the musicians of FM TRIO (Fabian Mueller, Kaspar von Grünigen und Fabian Bürgi) were already performing their first concerts. Kaspar von Grünigen was largely responsible for these spontaneous gatherings of different musicians, which in turn motivated Fabian Mueller, a pianist from St. Gallen, to found his own trio. The trio’s musical work is primarily based on original compositions, mostly by Fabian Mueller. However, it is collective interaction and the creation of a shared musical language that has continued to be the common goal of the trio. Kaspar von Grünigen (bass) and Fabian Bürgi particularly understand the need to perform the compositions on a high niveau. In 2006, their demo „Searching“ was recorded for promotional purposes in a recording studio in Bern under the trio’s own direction. This recording made it possible to perform in numerous concerts and to have the privelege of recording the debut album at the Radio DSR Studio Zürich. |
