The Magic Beans are a trio of guitar, bass and vocals. Uli Elbracht (guitar) and Matt Owens (Bass) are self-effacing accompanists: they provide minimal velvet for the jewel of Zoe Chiotis’ voice, which is magical (the right word) in its smoothness, nuance and tenderness. This exquisite vocal instrument is deployed on an eclectic song selection. She charms on It Must Be Love, sparkles on The Beat Goes On, and removes the sting of For All We Know with breathy, light sweetness.
