Biography of Eyes Shut Tight
Eyes Shut Tight is the latest project by Double Bassist/ Composer Paul Baxter. Since the release of their debut album 'Evolution' they have been performing throughout the UK and even a brief stint in Europe.
The Band features the compositions of Paul Baxter, Johnny Tomlinson - Piano and Kristoffer Wright - Kit. As a group they have been performing together over the last 2 years and have developed a real unique sound which has been likened to somewhere between the 70's Jarrett/Motian/Haden Trio, EST and Phronesis.
Eyes Shut Tight have a real passion for improvisation and this comes across in the music they perform, with a real sense of passion and fun.
'The Thaw' is their 2012 album which is now available and they will be on tour in the UK throughout January and a little of February.
