Biography of Mark Pringle

Mark Pringle began learning classical piano aged 6 and at aged 10, after being shown the blues scale by his brother, he fell in love with jazz and improvising. Fast forward to September 2011 and Mark is commencing jazz piano studies, having won a scholarship, at Birmingham Conservatoire. On 'This is', an album of two piano performances with former teacher John Law, he shows his talents for both virtuoso pianism as well as delicate, advanced harmonic composition and in doing so has produced a recording of immense maturity. A rising star of the UK jazz scene.
