Reviews |
01/01/1993 Jazz the Magazine | "Like a modern day Duke, Travis takes delight in compositions which create subtly-constructed pictures of moods Sex ,Food and Money (pt2) with Travis' tenor churning through time-signatures over Mark Wood's other worldly guitar chords, is manic danger personified. Nightmare in New York" hits the same mood, with the tenor, lifted by Ichiro Tatsuhara's driving drums, digging in late Coltrane-ishly. The title track moodily captures the desolate loneliness of the small hours." | 01/01/1993 Cadence Magazine | "Travis achieves an early morning spaciousness true to his title. This one earns an "A" for atmosphere" |
