Biography of Rosie Brown

Rosie is a seasoned performer who is not easy to pigeonhole. Founder member of world music band Rafiki Jazz (featuring Juldeh Camara) her latest solo project "Bicycles and Dreams" features co writer and pianist Jamil Sheriff. Sheila Jordan described her in a Jazzwise interview as "very talented". Bobby Wellins accepted an invitation to tour with her in 2000. Her first national tour, in 1998, was sponsored by Jazz Services, and coincided with the launch of her debut CD Preface which received rave reviews. Her second album, Now's the Time, came out in 2001, and was also warmly welcomed by critics. Her third, Ms Brown To You, came out in May 2003.
