Biography of Julian Costello
Julian Costello plays tenor and soprano saxophones and composes all the music. Julian has released four CDs Edge of Distinction (May 2011) der-da-di-da (2009) Cake and Consequences (2004) and Tea and Scandal in 1996 The Guardian describe him as left leaning and having a Charles Lloyd tone and his CDs have been praised in Time Out, Jazz Journal Jazzwise magazine and Crescendo. His music has been played on BBC radio 2, Jazz fm and one of his tunes was used by Channel 4 News for a documentary on refugees. He has also played on many dance based releases including Mighty Truth, This Experience and Mad Dog Productions. He was born in London where he still lives, studied music at Trinity College of Music is now Curriculum Leader for Music at Richmond Adult College. (RACC)
