“Olu is a UK-based keyboardist and songwriter. He’s also the talent behind the Soul-Jazz group The Milestones Project. On the solo instrumental album, he focuses more on an Afro and Jazz-Funk vein. The title track, which opens the album, has several lovely gems ( understated riffing keyboard and rhythm guitar, sax solo and a guitar solo that would make Carlos Santana proud ), one just wished it would continue for longer. Olu has an inter-nationalist view which is demonstrated by the Pans-featured lilting Soca of ‘Trinidadian Posse’ and the moody ‘Tibetian Chant’. However, the one that is most immediate is ‘African Giant ( Tribute To Fela Kuti )’; a fine fusion of Jazz-Funk and Afro-beat which is a worthy tribute and is screaming to be a single!”
