The recording took place in October 2002 at Chapel Lane Studios in Herefordshire, England with my great friend and expert sound engineer Matt Butler at the controls. The performances given by the Quartet - Ole, Tom, Dave and myself - are sometimes augmented and expanded with overdubbed percussion, strings, fx and most notably with the wonderful accordion of Eddie Hession. Eddie plays on 3 cuts, Tttango, Prelude for Drum & Bass and Memory of a Free Festival. The remaining five songs are Quartet alone.
