Arthur Wilson was a truly inspirational trombonist and teacher. In his later years he suffered from Parkinson's Disease, and this memorial concert celebrating his life was recorded to raise funds in aid of the charity Parkinson's UK.

The programme featured London Brass, a trombone trio and quartet, a massed choir of 50 of Arthur’s former trombone students and, for the second half, Pete Beachill’s Big Broad Band.
The second half of this album features the Pete Beachill Big Broad Band, featuring some stellar solos from the likes of Pete Beachill (trombone), Ralph Salmins (drums), Andy Greenwood (trumpet) and Pat Clahar (tenor sax).
