Biography of Liane Carroll

Born in London and raised in Hastings, Liane Carroll has been playing the piano since she was three. Her singing and piano playing have made her well known the around the world. Liane has been performing as a professional pianist and singer since the age of fifteen. She has toured and recorded with artists such as Gerry Rafferty, Ladysmith Black Mombasa and Paul McCartney.

Billy No Mates
Liane's fabulous solo album, Billy No Mates, has made it's mark on the jazz world. Released on Splash Point Records, it was launched with a great gig and party in September 2003 at the 606 Jazz Club in London. The album is available online and to order at all good record stores.

Liane's three albums previous to Billy No Mates - Clearly (Bridge), Dolly Bird (Ronnie Scott's Jazz House), Son of Dolly Bird (Ronnie Scott's Jazz House) are all band recordings. What makes her new solo album, Billy No Mates, so unique is the enormous energy and passion she generates on her own.
