Biography of Rob Koral
Brief Biography
Rob has been on the jazz scene for a couple of decades, and has played at Ronnie Scott’s, The Barbican, Festival Hall, 606, 100 club etc., and at the country’s top jazz festivals.
Several albums on 33 records: Including ‘Tell me’, ‘It’s Alright to be blue’ and ‘The Word is out’– recordings with singer Sue Hawker were described in Jazz Journal as the British Tuck n Patti. "Their music is an oasis in a commercial world: a haven of sheer talent and good taste" Jazz Journal.
More recently Rob has gigged extensively with Zoë Schwarz in duo/trio and band formats as well as a new project THE BADDEST BLUES BAND (EVER!) featuring established jazz names such as Malcolm Creese and Mike Gorman
· New solo album Grace Notes will be released March 2008 on 33 records – featuring various guests.
· Previously Sleeping with Angels was nominated CD of the week in the London Evening Standard March 2004 – review by Jack Massarik.
