NYJOS Collective is a 9-piece ensemble offering the more experienced members of The National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland the opportunity to publicly perform their own arrangements, play a wide variety of compositions and lead jazz workshops with members of the community and other jazz ensembles. Their debut album features features pieces written by members of the ensemble and some classic jazz favourites (Dave Holland's Homecoming, Victor Feldman's Seven Steps To Heaven, Kenny Wheeler's Gentle Piece and Mark Time, and Herbie Hancock's arrangement of Prince's Thieves in the Temple). |
