Biography of Intution

Jazz saxophonist Phil Stockli – born on May 16, 1973 in Basel, Switzerland. Graduate from Berklee college of music (1997). Ten year stay in the U.S., which of six in Boston und four in NYC. Return to Switzerland in the fall of 2003.
First album “The Horizon” with Franco Ambrosetti and Sebastiaan deKrom on Swiss label Brambus in 1998. Second album “Third Eye” with Jeff Ballard, Matt Penman, Pete Rende and Mike Moreno on Fresh Sound New Talent in 2003. New album "Lennie's Line" (featuring music of Lennie Tristano)with some of Switzerland finest jazz players: Michael Beck, Domenic Landolf, Andreas Zitz and Elmar Frey. Album release date: December 2006 (Altrisuoni).

Apart from perfoming, Phil has been working as a journalist for the only Swiss Jazz magazine "Jazz’n more" since 2001 and is working on a Masters degree in clinical Psychology at the university of Zurich.
