Four young individuals with four different musical backgrounds, now together in a quartet. The music is meant to flow flawlessly and Simon Wyrsch's compositions are intended to allow this to happen. Normally one is accustomed to hearing the clarinett within the more "old-style" jazz recordings, and this is precisely the stereotype Simon wants to amend. The quartet itself is not a new kind of band line-up, but in this case what surprises the listener is that, in spite of the different sounds, the styles and the solos meet each other! |
