Biography of Scott Stroman

Scott Stroman is a uniquely broad musician active as a conductor, composer, trombonist, and singer in Jazz, classical, and world music. A native of Indiana, USA, he has lived in London since 1982 where he is director of OPUS 20, Eclectic Voices, the London Jazz Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Renga and Future Firsts ensembles.

Not only has Scott worked closely with internationally acclaimed orchestras such as the LPO, OAE, ECO and Northern Sinfonia, he has also performed with some of the greats in jazz and world music including Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Wheeler, Youssou N’Dour, Herbie Hancock and Billy Cobham.
