Jazz Pianist influenced by Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans and John Taylor.

Pianist/Composer/Educator. Paul lecturers in piano & composition at Leeds Music College where he has been teaching since 1999.

Alongside teaching, Paul also maintains a busy performing schedule and has worked with many of the uk's leading musicians. He has recorded 8 albums in various settings such as, duo (with Bass Player Garry Jackson) trio with Jamie Taylor (Java) and quartet/quintet with Simon King, Garry Jackson, Tam De Villiers and Satoshi Ikeda.

Paul has also written music extensively within both jazz and classical fields. A Trilogy of piano books, Practical Pianoforte 1, 2 & 3 are published (kirklees Music), as well as a book of graded piano pieces. (Grades 1-3) An anthology containing every piano piece he has composed has now been released. In the classical field Paul has composed numerous solo, ensemble, choral works, and music for the BBC young artist forum.

In 1999 The Paul Wilkinson trio was runner up in the Perrier Jazz musician of the year awards.

Current Projects include a Symphony, a set of 24 preludes for piano which he has just finished and some Mozart Piano recitals.
