An effective updating of the swingin' Sinatra sound - an original pop song given a fulsome big band treatment - and not dissimilar to Harry Connick Jnr's efforts in the same field. The arrangement is full of imaginative, authentic detail and the beautifully recorded band delivers clean, bright ensemble statements, moving with something of the brassy blast and easy grace of the Basie orchestra. This, the sinuous alto saxophone solo and the resonant trombone obbligato indicates musicianship of the highest calibre.
