Biography of Inigo Kilborn
I spent the first fifty years of my life in London where, apart from general gigging, I played most often in the two groups which I created:
"We 3" featured Max Brittain (guitar) and Malcolm Creese (bass)and occasionally became a quartet with the addition of pianist John Horler. CD"Perpetual Sunshine Dance".
"Where Did You Get Those Shoes?" was a sextet formed to play original compositions by me and our pianist Len Brown. The personnel remained stable over many years and included Dave Harvey (saxes and flute), Robin Gardner (trombone), Orlando Kilborn (drums) and either Gordon Serter or Steve Picking (bass guitar). CD "All Gone Three a.m."
In 2007 I reassembled "We 3" for the trio album which we'd never got around to recording before. We also included five tracks, recorded some years previously, which featured the trio accompanied by a string quartet. CD "Three At Last".
I now compose music in southern France and play cornet, flumpet and flugelhorn, as well as singing, with a wide variety of local bands, including my own (French) trio and quartet.
