Patrick Cornelius releases second album,
2011-01-03 20:24:41 | NYC based Alto Saxophone extraordinaire Patrick Cornelius has released his second album (NOV 2010) on the Whirlwind Recordings Ltd imprint, and is now available for purchase on the Jazz Cds website. The album is a 'chordless ensemble' featuring all original compositions by the leader. With grammy award nominee Johnathan Blake on drums, US powerhouse bassist Michael Janisch, plus a few choice special guests, Cornelius's album offers an original take on the classic sax trio, and has already appeared since is release on some 'best of' lists for 2010.
