Bristol based saxophonist Kevin Figes releases his third album, 4 Sided Triangle, which is without doubt Figes' strongest album to date. Having already carved an exciting and well established career both as a performer and composer on the UK scene, Figes now uses his experience and expertise to lead his band, 4 Sided Triangle in a new venture sure to make an impact on the scene.

Figes has toured extensively with some incredible musicians, including Keith Tippett, Brazilian combo Sirius B and 15 piece big band 'Resonation'. He has also become somewhat of a stalwart on the Bristol scene, helping to establish it as a hip and exciting hub for new music. His new ensemble, 4 Sided Triangle features some of the most in demand musicians on the scene today; Dan Moore (fender rhodes), Mike Outram (guitar) and Daisy Palmer (drums). Together they combine their separate reputations to create a hybrid jazz group of exceptional experience and talent.

On the album expect to hear refreshingly original and relevant sounds from Figes' expert compositions and alto and baritone saxophone technique, while Moore, Outram and Palmer perfectly compliment his skills and display their synergy for one another's playing, bringing Figes' originals to life in an energetic and wholly unique way. The influences for this project include Chris Potter's 'Underground', Miles Davis' 'Live Evil' and the Soft Machine. The album release is accompanied by a Jazz Services sponsored UK tour from 16 June through 31 July (details below).
