What's Your Story Part 2: Rhythm and Blues
Friday 3rd - Monday 6th October

Following on from last year’s success, Tim Whitehead will be hosting another residential jazz workshop this October on The Isle Of Wight.

The course will be devised and led by Tim and Tony Woods with visiting tutors Liam Noble (piano) Milo Fell (drums and percussion) and Oli Hayhurst (double bass) joining us for part of the weekend. Workshops will focus on how the fundamentals of rhythm and melodic development can enhance your playing in ensemble work and soloing across the jazz repertoire - with the emphasis again on ensemble/group playing.

There will be opportunity for one to one tutorials on the instruments represented, as well as in the jazz disciplines. The Jazz Club will once again be hosted by tutors in the evenings at a local inn.

This year’s setting is an 18th century converted watermill in Yarmouth, on the banks of the beautiful Yar estuary in the Isle of Wight. The Watermill is 5 minutes walk from the ferry terminal, so no need to bring the car, and the ferry takes 27 minutes from Lymington.

If you want to enjoy some more time at the Mill, you have the option of arriving Thursday afternoon and staying until Tuesday 4th at no extra cost.
