I'm pleased to say I have been invited to be Artist in Residence at Tate Britain 2009.
I will compose some new music about The "Colour Beginnings" and related work of the great JMW Turner following a period of research.
During the residency I will conduct some lecture/workshop/performances on the work in progress at Tate Britain, Tate St Ives and Tate Liverpool.

The completed work will receive it's premiere performance at "Late At The Tate",Tate Britain in November 6th followed by touring dates.

Turner has been a source of inspiration for me over the years and Tate Britain is a place I feel very at home in, so I'm very much looking forward to the adventure and working with a team of curators and gallery staff, and also I'm very excited that the film maker Mike Dibb who produced biographical profiles of Miles Davis and Keith Jarrett,will also be involved in the project.
