Cleveland Watkiss Trio with Tim Whitehead at WayOutWest
2010-04-14 11:26:02 | Cleveland Watkiss will be bringing his trio for his debut at WOW on May 12th.I took my daughter Hattie and my wife Linda to see him at the 606 and he invited me to sit in with him and his trio , Karl Rashad on double bass and Shane Forbes on drums, which is the band he's bringing to WOW.I was impressed with the plasticity of the trio's ensemble work, and Cleveland's free wheeling and imaginative improvisation,and enjoyed getting caught up with it all on a rhythm changes tune.I'm looking forward to the 12th. |
