Arrival of new jazz club
2007-11-22 13:18:09 | The Mick Hutton Jazz Club was established by Vocalist, Debbie Winter, Bass player, Mick Hutton and pianist Jo Lander. The Club is run by musicians for musicians and operates on a monthly basis. It is based in an intimate bar in Colchester and all money accrued through ticket sales is paid to the band. Since opening in June with Joanna Eden, the club has been sold out. Each month begins by showcasing the new material of the Shifting Sands Quartet and the evening is then handed over to another band. Dates to watch for are as follows:
December 15th - Russ Henderson trio
January 19th - Mark Cherrie Quartet
February 23rd - Martin Speake trio
March 23rd - Sarah Moule Quartet
April 26th - Carl Orr trio
May 24th - Estelle Kokot
June 21st - A years celebration with the Mick Hutton Group
