In 2007 Jon is bringing to his music a renewed energy and a change of emphasis.

His two new projects both feature a move away from a reliance on improvisation as the main force behind his music. There is a new focus on the architecture of composition and a much greater dynamic range.

Still Life is a collection of contemporary classical compositions for piano, viola and cello.

Mimesis is a collection of pieces for soprano saxophone and piano written in collaboration with the pianist John Law. ( see John Law on this site for this CD )
