2007-03-17 12:54:08 | New Album The Adam Bishop Quartet is pleased to announce the release of their debut album. “Sanctuary” is a creation drawing upon such diverse influences as Mark Turner, Steve Coleman, Olivier Messiaen, Albert Ayler and Wayne Shorter. Investigating a wide range of improvisational settings such as modern classical harmony, free jazz and complicated rhythms (as well as straight ahead swing), they manage to blend all into a homogenous unit. All compositions except for two are by Adam Bishop. |
