Formed in 2003, this highly acclaimed and celebrated quintet breathe new life and meaning into the modern jazz idiom.
Comprising of the pick of the UK’s new breed of forward thinking musicians and composers - led by Dylan Howe - one of the leading drummers of his generation, this group blow the roof off of every venue they appear at - inspiring rave reviews and blazing a trail to the international concert halls and worldwide attention.
Having recently released their third album ‘Translation’ - recorded live at London’s Pizza Express Soho - to ecstatic reviews and hot off the road from a storming 25 date sell out UK tour - the Dylan Howe Quintet are ready to assume the mantle of one of the most exciting and important improvising combos on the planet!
An incredible live act, performing a special blend of originals inspired by Miles, Mingus & Coltrane with modern classical under-tones, The Dylan Howe Quintet will also be previewing music from their new project for 2007 ‘Dylan Howe and The Subterraneans’ Music Inspired by David Bowie’s Low & “Heroes” Re-imagined:
