2007-11-27 16:12:07 | Launch of new CD Mark has just launched his new CD "MARK BASSEY'S TELLING STORIES" with a storming gig at the Spice Of Life. There will be a second launch gig on 25th January 2008 at Brighton Jazz Club, now based at the Komedia, Gardener St, Brighton (click on 'gigs' for more info). The band features Dave Frankel on piano, Simon Thorpe on bass and Sean Randle on drums.
Mark's quintet project "BASSEY PLAYS BASIE" has also recorded some swinging tracks and hopefully will release a CD early in 2008. This group includes Simon Savage on tenor, Terry Seabrook on piano, Dave Whitford on bass and Ron Parry on drums. |
