Although Pipe and his partners like the intricate rhythmic overlays pioneered by Steve Coleman and the New York M-Base school...they balance these rigorous structural explorations with an engaging affection for traditional song-themes, Latin-jazz vivacity, East European folk-forms and bursts of straightahead jazz swing.



'SEB PIPE’S LIFE EXPERIENCE' has, since its inception in 2006, comprised forward-thinking musicians sharing a desire to create improvised music with its own identity, music which reflects the group’s personalities and interests, as well as the world around them.



Their critically acclaimed first album ‘Music is Life’ received glowing reviews from both ‘BBC Radio 3’s Jazz Line Up’ and ‘Guardian’ jazz critic John Fordham.



Monday's performance will feature new music from their new album ‘Shoot for the Stars’ on ‘33 Records’, as part of the group's UK tour supported by Jazz Services.

Seb Pipe's Life Experience Some details about the show: redTV offers ArtBoo artists TV exposure New SKY Channel red TV and ArtBoo.com have come together to offer bands around the country the opportunity of appearing on SKY. New SKY Channel red TV (currently Legal TV) and ArtBoo.com have come together to offer bands around the country the opportunity of appearing on SKY. red TV is due to launch 17th of December 2007. The show due to be called 'ArtBoo TV' will appear on SKY Channel 186 every week throughout February 2008. Each 30 minute show will consist of 3 bands, 1 headliner and 2 other bands. The headlining band will get to play 2 songs and be interviewed for 3 minutes, the 2 other bands will get to play 1 song and will be interviewed for 1 minute by the host of the show.
