Reviews of Lizzie Scott
14/02/2006 Dave Gelly, MBE, jazz critic of The Observer | "Lizzie Scott has the kind of style jazz musicians love - direct and nicely phrased, with no showy tricks. And you only have to hear her sing to know how well she understands the art of the ballad” | 05/01/2000 Stamford Grand Hotel, Australia | "Lizzie Scott is a most alluring vocalist with a swinging soul that breathes jazz at every note. Her unique sound will have your ears pleasantly surprised as she fills you with some of the all time great standards"
| 13/09/0006 Eric Warde | Lizzie and Lew have made a first class CD - Lizzie's voice and Lew's tenor combine to produce a unique disc. Lizzie has sung across Australia for a number of years and has recently arrived in the UK where she has continued to amass credits from many quarters. Her latest highlights include the Lady Day number 'Fine and Mellow' that sets the standard for the following tracks. This is supported by a superb rendition of 'Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps'. And the play continues. Lizzie's fine voice is supported by Lew's wonderful tenor and a first class rhythm section. Top of my list for a current buy for those cold winter nights. Do not miss this one.
