Voting has opened for the 2008 BBC Jazz Awards once again celebrating
the best of British jazz. The nominees have been chosen by a panel of industry
experts and the public are invited to cast their votes in five of the nine categories
at http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/jazzawards2008
The winners will be announced on Monday 21st July at London’s Mermaid
Theatre.

highlights of the BBC Jazz Awards will broadcast on BBC Radio 2, and Jazz on
3 will broadcast a celebratory programme with contributions from the winners
on Saturday 26th July on BBC Radio 3.
The BBC Jazz Awards are jointly produced by BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3.
